Troop Service

An important aspect of scouting is learning to give back to your community and below are great opportunities to do just that.  There are public projects to do with fellow scouts, troop service projects, and anything else that will qualify for service hours.

PLEASE consider volunteering your time for one more events.  There is no harm is taking a few hours out of your day to benifit your community.

 

 

Service Opportunities:

 

September 22; 9:00 – 12:00

Scouts for clothing drive;

Responsibility From 9 – 11 unload bags from cars and vans; 11:00-12:00 load the bags into trucks.

The FRIENDS of the Fanwood Memorial Library Book Sale September 20-23, 2018.

Service Opportunity at Forest Road Park

FRIENDS of the Fanwood Memorial Library need clean-up help on Sunday 23 starting at 4:30

Responsibility help box up unsold books and general cleanup

Steven Kozlowski Eagle Scout Project

Work will be done at the Fanwood Nature Center and we will be meeting in the parking lot of the Terrill Road Bible Chapel (535 Terrill Road)

If you are volunteering please email me at skozlowski2000@gmail.com.  You do not need to stay for an entire shift, any amount of time you can come will be greatly appreciated.  This is a good opportunity to earn service hours for your rank advancement.

PDone to is to upgrade the Nature Center’s entrances by installing a bench as well as display cases.  We will also be clearing vegetation, spreading wood chips, and lining the paths with logs.
A couple things to note for those interested:
– Please check your email for updates regarding the project
– We will be working in the woods, please wear long pants and bring work gloves.  Please also be careful for poison ivy
– Wear something that you do not mind getting dirty
